About the Singles Ministry For the
young adult, there must be a proper balance in the
Christian life to experience full enjoyment. We
want the students of the Young Singles Sunday school
class to receive a biblical education and to be trained
in our local church setting with many opportunities to
serve the Lord. The majority of our class is
made up of young adults who are making the transition
from high school to college or making the transition
from college into that new job; some, even preparing for
the important step of marriage. We want each
individual that takes part in this ministry to engage
not only in ministry, but in the making of many
memories and lasting friendships -- which are made
during time spent in Sunday school, at various church
activities, and the fellowships set aside especially for
the Young Singles Ministry. Making the
transition in life can oftentimes be very difficult, but
it's easier when we have someone to lean on for
encouragement and comfort. We have a wonderful
Sunday school class that reallyl cares for the needs of
each member.
It is the desire of the Young Singles Ministry
to touch every heart and life that is involved. We
teach God's Word as commanded, and we do so as
faithfully as can be done, but it is up to each
individual to take the next step by drawing closer to
Christ and developing a spiritual life. We believe
that each individual must endeavor to LIVE in the Word
and BY the Word. It is necessary that we take
God's Word and apply its truths to our everyday lives
that we might better serve Him and encourage others
along the way. We encourage each and every
person involved in the Singles Ministry to take part in
the various ministries here at Truth-Missionary Baptist
Church. Many of our young singles are actively
engaged in the ministries which range from singing in
the choir, working in the Master Clubs Ministry,
teaching in Vacation Bible School, taking part in the
Visitation Team, and much more.... We not only
want to teach about the Christian way but we want
to live it each and every day! |
