Master Clubs
Ministry Update
The Master Clubs Ministry here at
Truth-Missionary Baptist Church is growing in a special
way. When many people consider growth, they
think of one thing -- numbers. But when we think
about the word growth, we are talking about the
lives of God's little children. I'm honored to be
a part of this great and important ministry here at
Truth-Missionary, and it amazes me at the wonderful
progress that I've seen in the spiritual lives of each
child that is a part of our Master Clubs Ministry on
Wednesday evenings. Each week in Master Clubs, the
children get to enjoy a great time in the Gymnasium
playing exciting games and having team competitions.
We have a variety of activities on the schedule each
week. Recently we had our Treasure Hunt during
Activity Time. This is the second time we've done
this and it's proved to be an enjoyable activity not
only for the clubbers, but also for the leaders as well.
This Treasure Hunt is a mixture of Bible Trivia,
physical activity, and team work. I'm already
looking forward to putting another one together for next
year. Each week after game time, we assemble together
for a time of singing and looking into God's Word.
It's fun to watch the children get involved in the music
time, especially the younger ones, who love the songs
full of movement and gestures. As we settle down
and open God's Word, I'm humbled by the thought that we
have the responsibility to pass on the important truths
of God's Word to this next generation.
After we have devotions, the children break up into
their age-level classes and work through their Project
Workbooks. This is where the children have actual
one-on-one time with their teachers, learning the basics
of the Christian life. They are learning about
Believing on God's Son, Obeying God's Word, and Serving
in God's House. Master Clubs is a complete
Ministry -- and it offers so much for the young children
in our church. I'm excited to be a part of it.
